Mariachi Diamante was established on May 10th 2007 and has been recognized as San Diegos best semi-proffessional youth group.Diamante has appeared numerous times at different local news stations such as kusi,fox, and NBC to name a few.Diamante won first place at the Imperial Valley Winter Fairground youth mariachi competition. Diamante has peformed for Viva El Mariachi, Family Day at Embarcadero park, Latino Expo, and this year at Viva La Musica at Sea World. Diamante plays every Friday at Old Town Mexican Cafe in Old Town San Diego from 6-9:30pm.
