Mariachi Rayos del Sol
Mariachi Rayos Del Sol was formed with the vision of preserving the Mexican culture in today's youth. More and more Chicano youth is seen in losing touch with their culture and assimilating to the "American Culture". The young people that make up Mariachi Rayos Del Sol not only have a deep understanding of who they are and where they came from, but they have a sincere passion for the Mariachi culture itself. The members vary in ages from 15-17 and have been playing together (as Mariachi Chavez, of Cesar Chavez High School) for 4 years. These young musicians have played at local parties and political luncheons, and have also been featured on UNIVISION's "Al Despertar". And in March of 2010, had the honor and the privilege of playing for the world renowned Cirque Du Soleil. You can catch Mariachi Rayos Del Sol Every Sunday from 12pm-2pm at Garibaldis Mexican Restaurant,1675 East Mariposa Road, Stockton, CA.
